LEARNING DISABILITY SERVICES
We offer support services to people with learning disabilities in all aspects of their lives. As every person is an individual, we do not consider a one size fits all approach to our services. Every service is holistic and individually tailored to our service users’ needs.
Therefore, we listen to our service users carefully and assess their needs before creating a person centred care plan.
Our main objectives are:
-
Improving the quality of life
-
Increasing independence as much as possible
-
Improving physical and mental skills
-
Integrating and connecting to the local community
With these objectives in mind, we help our service users to balance their rights to take informed risks with achieving their full potential. No matter how complex their needs are, there is always the potential to improve! Our dedicated staff team will work actively with all the relevant professionals to fully uncover our service users’ potential.
Examples of the support we offer:
-
Support at home with day-to-day tasks
-
Learning new skills to become more independent
-
Support in finding more suitable accommodation
-
Accessing education and employment opportunities
-
Involvement in social activities in the local community
-
Escorting service users on GP visits or accessing other health services
-
Wellbeing and emotional support
-
Support for the family or carers of the person with a learning disability
Service users are therefore able to form a good and professional relationship with their care staff team, as they are involved with them with all aspects of their daily lives.
